vivienne westwood being hypocritical
right so you know that vivienne westwood has this little trip of "active resistance to propaganda", I was speaking to some freinds of mine who are associated to Viv at the Red Label show this A/W 09 who told me that she was freaking out and about to cancel the show becasue not enough A List celebs were coming (as if Kanye West and Lily Cole werent enough). Isnt this a bit hypocritical????
first you talk about that you dont agree with how the public is brainwashed with propaganda in the form of celebrity culture and mass media, but then you push it yourself by begging them to come to your show.
maybe this is really clever marketing or just stupidity either way so show was so so. I think she is loosing it since last A/W 08.

partee reviews
Stephen Jones (23.02)
AMAZING, great hats, great venue (V&A), Oysters, champagne, more Oysters, then a lobster, more champagne, then risotto, then getting your picture taken.
Going for some fresh air in the most amazing court yard. Back in more champagne, look at some real life icons, more oysters.
That is basically it. Fantastic, simply fabulous.
LFW International Party
Oh my god, SO SO BAD. I mean really, what is wrong with the BFC these days just because you don’t get on with Mandi Lennard?? Lol. No seriously, ever since the
Party took place at The Hempel 4 seasons ago, it had gotten worse and worse. Cocktails without alcohol, sahara like temperatures, the crowd seemed to have been hand picked
From the streets of South Kensington or from an old peoples home with maybe 5 fashion related guests (a couple more maybe) even ERIN O LONG LEG CONNOR wasn’t there
And that says it all. Boo BFC booo
Mulberry
Hot, sweaty, good drinks, guys in shorts, girls in bikinis. The music was good and the crowd got better. Every one stole a fake apple and oversized plastic glitter bugs.
Giles
So, we are back at Bungalow. Very dull at the beginning, but turned out to be really fun. It was a bit like a mini rave from the 90’s with pill popping teens, models and fashionistas.
You know who I mean… Pat Mc Grath to Will Young to Nick Hoult to I don’t know who else was there. Only bad thing is the free bar ran out way to quickly and since it seemed that
Everybody had the same order of partys last night as we did, it didn’t go down to well. Giles didn’t even bother turning up because he was on a flight to Milan this morning and needed
Beauty sleep.

le rouge
right, just thought i'd do a little club night review which isnt for once a free party the night is called Le Rouge and is hosted by the stunners international (some current and ex models, Fionn, Wade, Nick etc) and takes place at the doors club underneath the groceries (istanbul supermarket) on city road, its quite small in there but really cosy and not hot surprisingly although it does remind you a lot of Le Regine in Paris. anyway, its great music, great people, usually models and other fashionistas. if youre in London and youre not a banker or architect, feel free to stop by, door charges may vary though for some strange reason..

Dazed & Confused Exclusively Previews Francesco Vezzoli’s latest film project ‘Greed’, directed by Roman Polanski, starring Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman
Italian artist Francesco Vezzoli's latest project Greed, in his own words, is the "logical step" from his previous tease acts – a play that was never going to run, a trailer for a movie that was never going to be produced and election ads for candidates that were not actually running for office.
Beyond Vezzoli's initial expectations, iconic director Roman Polanski directed the 60-second film, and which he was given total creative freedom over, while actresses Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams star in the advert. The perfume bottle itself is a reinterpretation of Marcel Duchamp's Eau de Voilette, which featured an image of Duchamp dressed up as his female alter ego Rrose Selavy, shot by Man Ray. Instead, the Greed bottle features Vezzoli in female disguise, shot by Francesco Scavullo.
Vezzoli fully immersed himself into trying to answer the question of what attracts people to a perfume and how to replicate the media build-up of a perfume campaign. http://www.dazeddigital.com/Fashion/article/1769/1/Francesco_Vezzolis_Greed_Online_Premiere

get rid of Anna Wintour, but dont take Katy Grand
as you know, anna wintour has been the editor in chief of vogue US since 1988 making her the one who dictated what to wear and what not to buy for the past 20 years.
its time for a change
there are a lot of rumours going around of her leaving or even being kicked out. fair enough she is an icon and did an amazing job with vogue turning it into, which it still is, the guide book for fashion, the bible for trends- for womens fashion that is.
the way for vogue to find new editors in chief is to select the most influential editors out there and give them a little project to proove that they are worthy of becoming the next queen of vogue (and also a salary of $2m)
you all know that Katy Grand is launching a new magazine this month called LOVE, which reportedly is Katys projects to get into vogue
OMG, imagine if she'd be the new editor, itll be gareth pugh and henry holland styled by aggy.

Please dont let it come to this!!!
As much as Vogue needs to change and reinvent itself, but not with Katy Grand!

Ponystep
OMG, so as you probably know, there was a Ponystep party in Paris on the last weekend of mensweek. Oh my lord it was SHIT. it was at crappy Le Regine which is quite possibly the smallest venue in the whole of Paris, well at least off Champs, anyway, so we got their huge queue on the door, people arguing and fighting, didnt have a problem getting in, but once inside it was unbarably hot, no air conditioning and the celing about 2 meters/ 6ft 3 high which explained why it was so hot. The music was, how can i put this, like a banana shoved up someones arse, taken out and eaten by a drag queen. We must have heard Britneys Womanizer about 200 times and MGMT (which i actually love) about 198 times, resulting in hating these songs. oh well, there you go.
since Ponystep will be a monthly thing now in Paris, word of advice:
DONT GO
